I Want To Reach Others
When I realized that adoption was going to be the best decision for me, I hid my emotions and went through denial at first. After placing my son with his adoptive parents, I turned back to men but learned that wasn’t the answer. I sought help from a recovery group at church, private counseling, and an adoption support group.
I want to become an ultrasound technician so I can not only work in an OB/GYN office but also reach other women who may be scared or unsure. My goals for the future are to complete my education, have financial independence & stability, be a great mom, and to help others. I’d like to do this by volunteering my [ultrasound] services in a crisis pregnancy center to help women considering abortion. I want to tell them there’s a better option.
Getting a scholarship from the Lifetime Adoption Foundation would allow me to enroll in classes at the community college and be able to be more prepared for my career. I will be able to set a good example and reach others!
